He says, never will I see the snow
He says, I fear not at all the rain
He says, I will not hide my heart below
She, with burning eyes, will slow
The burdened virtuoso refrain
And says, In springtime, we will know
His scars, as bright as stars aglow,
Mourning, fall upon her face in pain
He says, I will not hide my heart below
The spring must come eternal slow
For she and him recall so plain
And says, in springtime we will know
The blood is rain to make them grow
The blood runs off against the grain
He says, I will not hide my heart below
He says, I hope for the answers to be no
She says, I pour the questions down the drain
He says, I will not hide my heart below
And says, In springtime, we will know

Okay...you know I am soooo not abstract, and my poetry understanding extends only to Longfellow and Suess...but I really LIKE this poem. A lot. Though, not fully understanding it, I can't tell you why. I like how I feel when I read it. Melancholy and curious.
