The Starlight

Silvery starlight
Dances from a hidden
Moonlit night
With silent hopeful hands
Outstretched toward
Leaping goals
So far from reach
In a deadly world of
Pain and misery
What one thing mirrors
Heartfelt glimmers
That thing which is beyond
All knowledge
All life and
Love
Without the pain,
Without the whimpering torment
Of another's lie
There is something
Beyond and
Perfect beyond
All measure
Hiding in the silver of
The starlight

Catey,

Actually, I think the smilies are built into WordPress, where this blog is hosted. I think the only way to remedy your smiley-envy is to switch to WP. I’d highly recommend it if you ever want to consider it. I like it a ton better than Blogger, although it takes a little figuring out–which I’d be more than happy to help with, IF you switch. :)

Oh, and I forgot to mention that you can import pretty much everything except your template, which makes it a ton easier to switch! (hint, hint)

Hey, I like the poem! It's beautiful--and far from creepy. I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with for KOF!

Love ya,
~Kylie

See- not all my poems are depressing/scary/creepy/entirely weird/dark!

I'm glad you all liked it. I'm working on publishing more poetry - only the ones I write for my blog, so far. More than that is dreadfully uncomfortable.

Sparks of illumination,
Catey
